Let’s tell more, which will know where and how much this solar is being used.

The installation of solar panels in Pakistani homes is increasing rapidly. Pakistan PSLM/HIES 2018-19 survey results show that 15.2% of all households are using solar panels as a source of energy for their homes.  Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province tops the country with 40% of households using solar energy. Rural Pakistan is adopting solar energy at a faster rate than urban Pakistan. Solar adoption rate in rural areas of KP is 43%, Sindh 33.9%, Baluchistan 20.4% and Punjab 7.9%. The rapid decline in the cost of solar panels is driving the adoption of solar energy in rural areas of Pakistan where grid power is either unavailable or unreliable. Pakistan is beginning to join the clean energy revolution with increasing adoption of solar energy and the recent announcement of the National Electric Vehicle Policy.  The CoVID19 pandemic may slow it down temporarily, but the upward trend is likely to continue.
